What My Skin Needs Daily?

Have you ever wondered what the largest organ of our body- the skin needs every day? Or have you presumed that simply washing the face twice a day will suffice for the skin to look good and remain youthful? Are you aware that the skin which is the external protective layer of our body does need a little bit of care on a daily basis?

Following is what you need to do to revitalize the skin and keep it healthy and radiant. Failure to take care of the skin on a day to day basis will result in dry, freckled and malnourished skin.

1.Hydrate

Consuming adequate quantities of water every day is essential to keep the skin supple and hydrated. Water improves the nutrient absorption by the body cells and is useful to expel toxins from the body. Impurities if any, which are capable of causing pimples and make the skin break out will also be expelled from the body when you consume sufficient water.

2.Sleep

When we sleep our body rejuvenates and revitalizes itself. Lack of sleep can lead to stress which can impact the skin. Normal adults require at least 7 to 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep to remain fit and healthy.

3.Eat Right

A balanced diet is a necessity if you are keen on having a beautiful skin. To have a glowing skin you must watch what you eat. Foods rich in fatty acids are required to maintain proper hydration and meet the nutritional requirement of body. Foods specifically beneficial to the skin include fish, spinach, kidney beans, walnut, etc. Additionally foods rich in antioxidants like berries and tomatoes are required by the body to cope with cellular damage. Lastly it is important to include sources of Vitamin C in our daily intake to keep the skin healthy and radiant.

4.Protect the skin – Hygiene and Skin Protection

It is essential to keep the skin clean and avoid dirt, dust getting accumulated in the open pores of the skin. Blocked pores can cause pimples and rashes. To avoid this it is advisable to wash the face 3-4 times a day with a soap-free cleanser. To protect the skin from harsh ultraviolet sun rays application of a sunscreen is a must.

5.Stay Fit

Exercising regularly and practicing yoga is very useful to improve the blood circulation in our body. This in turn will improve the skin shine and sheen.
Skin care is fairly simple and will need just 5 minutes of your time daily. The time spent will definitely be worth the radiant glow on your face and the compliments you get for your youthful looking skin.
